i was going though my photographs looking for my top five for sean flanigan’s workshop, well i got a little sidetracked on these photographs of frank lloyd wright’s masterpiece fallingwater. a house he drew up in 3 hours! my beautiful wife and i went out east on a road trip a couple years ago to visit several houses and art museums. here are the pics from our special tour of the house.

lincoln lanes in chicago was the perfect location to shoot with carol and matt. the place is full of charm and personality just like the happy couple. from there we braved the cold chicago temps and headed to the uptown neighborhood to capture the riviera theater, commonly known to locals as the “riv,” where carol and matt saw their first concert together. we couldn’t pass up the chance to pop in the nearby green mill where al capone used to throw some back. hope you enjoy these great pictures from the day.

kaase and adam’s session was one of our most extensive engagement shoots to date. from twister on the beach, to northwestern’s campus, to a hole in the wall dinner with indescribable character and cooks offering us tequila. needless to say we all had a blast. here are just a few of our favorites from the day.

we took a trip to ann arbor, michigan to visit my bestie from high school. as an engagement gift we did a two day shoot for melinda and ryan (we were graciously rewarded with a delicious dinner and “brownie party” from our new favorite eatery zingerman’s). the first day we took advantage of the sunshine and headed to a nearby park and then over to the university of michigan’s campus, melinda and ryan are both alums. the next day was a little overcast but we headed to belle isle which is right near detriot, you can almost touch canada! the conservatory on belle isle is a must see and also the heidelberg project in detriot. here is just a sampling of the great pictures we captured from the weekend.
